Wolverine Upgrades

For those of you familiar with comic books (oh ya, and that really poorly done movie), was the addition of adamantium to Wolverine’s skeleton considered an upgrade?  It lowered the speed of his healing factor, but it did make him virtually indestructible.

Well, I have made some upgrades to my Wolverine guitar and thought it was about time to share them here.  These things don’t make the guitar indestructible (haven’t found any adamantium truss rods or bridges online yet), but the guitar has greatly improved!

Body Modifications:

  • New high gloss lacquer clear coat for body.
  • Reshaped neck profile.
  • Bevel headstock edges.
  • Satin finish for neck.

Hardware upgrades:

  • Locking Sperzel tuners
  • Wilkinson Trem Bridge
  • LSR Rollernut

I can’t find any pictures of the guitar before these body modifications.  The picture I’ve been using on my title is post-body modifications, pre-hardware upgrades.  So here are three shots of the headstock: one with the original tuners and two with the LSR Rollernut and Sperzel locking tuners (front and back).
